• How many people can I purchase a group policy for?

• You'll be able to purchase cover for up to 25 people online. Have a larger group - give us a call and see if we can help. The more the merrier!

• Do I get a discount as a group?

• We have group discounts built into our quote engine, so if you're travelling with a big group, you can save on our already very competitive prices.

• What type of travellers are considered a group?

• We don’t mind who you’re travelling with. You can be going on a school holiday, corporate getaway or on an annual escape with friends. Just enter the ages of all travellers into the quote box to receive a group quote. 

• How do I purchase cover for a business trip?

• In exactly the same way as you would a leisure trip. There's no difference in Zoom's leisure or business cover. Zoom's Comprehensive Travel Insurance includes Unlimited cover for medical emergencies, Unlimited cover for cancellation, $25,000 accidental death, $50,000 for additional expenses, $7,500 for luggage and personal items, $5 million for personal liability, $10,400 for loss of income and much more. Compare our travel insurance plans in more detail here. 

• Does Zoom cover school trips?

• Yes, if you are in charge of booking travel insurance for a bunch of students you can go ahead and get a quote online by putting all the childrens ages into the quote box. Or if it's easier feel free to give us a call and we can help to process your quote over the phone with one of our friendly agents. 

• Does Zoom cover my work laptop and mobile phone on business trips?

• No, Zoom does not cover for items that are not owned by you personally.

• What age limits apply to Zoom's travel insurance policies?

• You must be under the age of 85 to buy a policy with Zoom. Those under 79 years can purchase a policy for a maximum trip duration of 365 days. Those aged between 80-85 years can purchase a policy for a maximum trip duration of 184 days only. You must also be under the age of 69 to purchase our add-on ski or adventure packs.

• Can we get covered for adventure activities with group cover?

• We automatically cover a wide range of adventure sports including diving, bunjee jumping and horse riding and more. You can also buy our Adventure Pack to cover additional adventure sports. See a full list of activities activties covered under our Zoom policies.

• Do you cover group ski trips?

• If you're heading on a group ski holiday you will need to add our Snow Pack on to your policy during the purchase process.  Learn more about Zoom's ski insurance.

• Am I covered for cruises automatically?

• No, not automatically. You must purchase our cruise pack in order to be covered for any medical treatment you receive on board and for helicopter evacuation should you require emergency medical assistance.

• I have high value items; how much can I insure them for?

• If you have an expensive item that you just can’t leave behind you can insure it separately for up to $5,000. Please note that high value item cover is only available under our Comprehensive plan.

• Can I reduce my excess on a group policy?

• Yes you can reduce the standard excess of $200 by paying a excess reduction fee within the payment process.   This can only be done at the policy level, so if you reduce the excess for one, you reduce it for all.  If different travellers want different excesses, you will need to put them on separate policies.
